Why It's Good:

Why It's Green:

The rooibos and lavender are organically grown using chemical-free, traditional farming methods. Zhena's operates under Fair Trade guidelines, which means that workers and growers received a living wage, were paid fairly for their product, worked under safe conditions, and that environmentally friendly production methods were used. The company also donates to environmental and other charities and provides health benefits, education, and childcare for its workers in areas where the tea leaves are grown, with an aim toward turning impoverished local economies into sustainable ones. Zhena's teas come packaged in colorful, reusable (steel) tins, which are recyclable.
