Rare Hawaiian Organic Winter Honey

Why It's Good:

Creamy, more robust than the White Honey, with a caramel-like flavor and color. The honey is collected from winter wildflowers growing high up on the side of a volcano.

Why It's Green:

Volcano Island honeys are extracted from hives virtually by hand through a "bee-escape" hatch, without the use of artificial or toxic substances (many commercial beekeepers "fume" the bees out of the hive with poison-soaked boards). The hives are meticulously maintained without the use of chemicals. The honeys are certified organic; unfiltered and unheated to preserve natural proteins and enzymes.
