Why It's Good:

Volcano Island's signature product is creamy and opalescent. The subtle richness and hint of the tropics come from a single floral source: the blossoms of the Kiawe tree.

Why It's Green:

Volcano Island honeys are extracted from hives virtually by hand through a "bee-escape" hatch, without the use of artificial or toxic substances (many commercial beekeepers "fume" the bees out of the hive with poison-soaked boards). The hives are meticulously maintained without the use of chemicals. The honeys are certified organic; unfiltered and unheated to preserve natural proteins and enzymes.
