Rare Hawaiian Organic Lehua Honey

Why It's Good:

The unique taste of this creamy floral honey comes from the Lehua blossom, which grows on trees high up in lush volcanic mountain pastures. Which is where we'd like to be.

Why It's Green:

Volcano Island honeys are extracted from hives virtually by hand through a "bee-escape" hatch, without the use of artificial or toxic substances (many commercial beekeepers "fume" the bees out of the hive with poison-soaked boards). The hives are meticulously maintained without the use of chemicals. The honeys are certified organic; unfiltered and unheated to preserve natural proteins and enzymes.
