The Case for Compact Fluorescent Lights:

If every American home replaced one bulb with an Energy Star CFL, the greenhouse gas emissions of 800,000 cars would be prevented from going into the atmosphere. You'd save about $30 on energy costs over the life of each bulb.

Reuse Center

Why It's Good:

The RE Store boasts an incredible inventory of salvaged materials at affordable prices. Some fabulous finds we've spotted: a luxurious two-person antique tub, a beautiful church door, a Groën stainless-steel double boiler, and magnificent 1920s stained-glass windows. They even offer an in-store trade credit!

Why It's Green:

The RE Store not only salvages and sells pieces that would otherwise go to waste, but they also offer pick-ups and whole building deconstruction to maximize reuse. By offering both affordable and sustainable building and decorating options, the RE Store encourages community members to be aware of the impact they're making on the environment.
