The Cucitini

Why It's Good:

This refreshing summer cocktail with cucumber and mint will help you keep your cool.

Why It's Green:

This green drink gets even greener with organic vodka. And if you can get organic or locally grown cucumbers, lime, and mint—all the better.

The Cucitini

Ingredients:

2 oz Vodka
1 oz lime juice
2 slices cucumber
2 sprigs mint
1 dash orange bitters
1 oz simple syrup (Equal parts sugar and water. Shake. No cooking required.)

Garnish
1 slice cucumber, mint leaves

In the bottom of a shaker add cucumber, sprigs of mint, bitters, and 1 oz syrup; muddle gently. Add vodka and ice. Shake vigorously, strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with mint leaves and cucumber slice.—Recipe by Michael Green
