Hand-sewn in designer Carrie Sommer's home studio. Products made by hand require less energy and don't generate the kind of waste and emissions produced by machines in big factories. This particular design is also exclusive to Nest, a nonprofit organization supporting female artisans in developing countries, with loans funded by the sales of items produced by select designers for Nest.
