There's no doubt about it, 2007 is the year of the peacock. (Our apologies to the pig and the creators of the Chinese calendar.) While we adored the swallows that so adorably adorned every pillow, vase, necklace, T-shirt, and tote bag we saw last year, this year we were craving a bird with a little more glamour. We knew we'd found it as soon as we spotted this gorgeous 20" square pillow made by Jennifer Gibbs, the founder of Soft Goods Design Co in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The modern-looking magenta silhouette lends a fresh splash of color to the vintage wallpaper-ish olive-green pattern. The pillow is an easy way to add a flourish to a comfortably worn leather chair or some elegance to a cozy white sofa. All your friends will think you've hired an interior designer, and you'll feel as proud as a … you know.
