Really Dirty Diapers:

Buy reusable cloth diapers not only for a cleaner environment (disposables can take 250-500 years to decompose), but also for the health of your baby. The average parent uses 6,000 - 8,000 disposable diapers before their child is potty-trained. These diapers contain sodium polyacrylate, the same substance removed from tampons in 1985, and dioxin, listed by the EPA as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals.

W's Eco Rain Shell Jacket

Why It's Good:

If you're going to be sporty or active, you might as well go Patagonia. This lightweight, ultra-durable hooded jacket will see you through a summer squall or keep you warm and dry while sailing.

Why It's Green:

Contains 100% recycled polyester. Patagonia is big on recycling--they accept old, unusable garments made from select fabrics for recycling into new material (and of course they ask that you mail them in, instead of driving and increasing emissions). They actively support a variety of environmental causes and promote fair labor and eco-friendly manufacturing.
