Beauty companies are not required to list ingredients, so you are not likely to see phthalates, a plastic softener linked to cancer, on labels. Avoid products that list "fragrance," which often contains phthalates; look for essential oils instead.

Contains 74% recycled polyester. Patagonia is big on recycling—they accept old, unusable garments made from select fabrics for recycling into new material (and of course they ask that you mail them in, instead of driving and increasing emissions).
