Oona Vintage Store

Why It's Good:

A Harvard Square institution since 1973, Oona's “experienced clothing” is jam-packed with men's and women's clothes from the '20s through the '70s. Nestled back from the street, this funky little nook is a frequent haunt for the local college crowd. Famous for their eclectic dresses and leather coats, they also have loads of hats, scarves and jewelry, which hangs from every conceivable spot in the store. So don’t forget to look up! Arranged by style and decade, the friendly staff will gladly guide you through the organized if overwhelming selection.

Why It's Green:

Buying secondhand is one of the three R's—reuse, baby—so buy away: You're cutting down on waste and eliminating the resources, materials, energy and carbon emissions that go into producing a new product.

Where To Get It:

Visit Oona at 1210 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA; for more information call 617-491-2654.
