Why It's Good:
Spray yourself happy by spritzing your skin with Moss Botanicals Aroma Mists. Each aromatherapeutic blend (there are currently seven of them) is crafted to deliver mood-altering moisture to parched complexions and frazzled nerves. And for $26 per generously sized 4-oz bottle, each spray costs just a fraction of what you’d pay for a session with your therapist.
Why It's Green:
The Aroma Mists are made with organic essential oils, meaning they’ve been extracted from plants grown without the use of toxic chemicals. Each blend is also free of synthetic preservatives and packaged in a beautiful amber glass bottle that can be recycled or re-used. Moss Botanicals is also aiming to be a waste-free company by composting any leftover plant materials, recycling office paper and incoming mail, and packaging shipments of their products in recyclable boxes and biodegradable cellophane.

Cool Your Skin, Clear Your Mind
On the hottest day of the recent heat wave that hit the East Coast, it took all of my green girl power not to open the fridge wide and bask in front of its cooling air. (What?? We don’t have central air!) Thankfully, my conscience restrained me and I instead pulled out a spray bottle of Moss Botanicals Aroma Mist. I’ve been keeping the Clear blend on the top shelf (right next to the organic peanut butter), as spritzing it when chilled offers an eco-friendly form of heat relief. Plus, the combination of essential oils—including eucalyptus, myrtle, and tea tree—is said to clear negative energy, which I tend to harbor plenty of when it’s nearly 100 degrees inside and out. Maybe it’s all in my mind, but I have to agree that the herbal, eucalyptus-laced scent does have a strange way of bringing my thoughts into focus when I’m juggling multiple tasks. The best part: Using the toner post-cleansing keeps my complexion clear, as the blend has astringent properties. Clear skin and a clear mind—that’s cool.—Megan O'Neill
