Lead In Your Computer:

Televisions and computer monitors contain between two and eight pounds of lead, and account for an estimated 40% of the lead in landfills, which leaches into the soil and groundwater. To find out where you can discard your old monitors, visit Earth911.org.

The Girls Collection: Gigi Clutch

Why It's Good:

Aptly named, the Gigi clutch is as cute as a button and as spunky-chic as Leslie Caron. We want to grab one, slip on some velvet flats, and hit the streets of Paris singing.

Why It's Green:

Handmade by fairly paid artisans in Madagascar. The body is made of woven raffia (a renewable resource) and the lining is cotton. The company supports local educational and economic development programs for the artisans and their families.
