Greener Dish Cleaning:

Many dishwashing liquids are non-biodegradable and contain phosphates that harm our freshwater sources. To clean pans without a toxic detergent, fill with cold water, a lot of salt and a slice of onion. Let pan set overnight, then bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Once cool, the burnt food will come right off.

Why It's Good:

For the days when you don’t feel like washing your mane, but the smell and oil build-up is too intense to ignore, rub this powder through your hair. It’ll soak up the shine and leave your locks smelling like lavender, tuberose, amber, or jasmine--whatever is your pleasure.

Why It's Green:

Lulu Organics is a beauty company whose mission is to create safe, chemical-free, naturally made, animal-free products. Their signature hair powder is a combination of white clay, baking soda, and USDA-certified organic products like rice powder and corn starch. Oregon Tilth Certified Organic essential oils give the hair powder its lovely scent. Plus, it’s talc-free and won’t leave any chemical residue.
