I'm trying to simplify my life, which is another way of saying I'm trying to get rid of all the clutter. Sometimes it's hard to say goodbye to things, but I have a rule that if I haven't used it for a year, it goes. Considering that my stereo receiver, CD player, and speakers have all been sitting in a corner of my new home—not hooked up, just sitting there and not looking pretty—for the past 15 months, these are on their way out the door (to a charity, not a landfill). All my good music is on my iPod anyway, which takes up far less space and which I can amplify for company with the stylish new Vers Sound System. There are a lot of sound systems out there these days but the competition consists mostly of sleek plastic that tries to look high-tech. The sustainable wood of the Vers speaker is more in keeping with the retro trend in stereo equipment, the décor of my house, and my desire for more eco-friendly home goods. The music sounds great, the system looks good, and I've got a lot more space in my living room. Now that's something to sing about.
