Karma Designer Consignment Boutique

Why It's Good:

Twins Judy and Joy transplanted this vintage-maven haven from Newport, Rhode Island to Boston’s historic North End almost four years ago. A winning combination of boudoir and boutique, this shop aims to bring out your inner Dita Von Teese or Marilyn Monroe. Vintage fur stoles and beaded gowns work it with beautiful lingerie and wispy nighties (these are not vintage). They also do high-end designer consignment with pieces such as Dolce & Gabbana shoes and Badgley Mischka dresses. Aside from the lingerie, they carry a few new designer pieces, so if you're strictly a vintage hound, be sure to check which items are consignment.

Why It's Green:

Buying vintage and consigned items means you haven't purchase something new, for which materials, energies and resources would have been used to produce. So you can consume and be a glamour puss without being wasteful!
