Juice Beauty Green Apple Mousse Body Cleanser

Why It's Good:

This body wash smells scrumptious, makes your skin softer and smoother, and keeps it from looking old with glycolic fruit acids from antioxidant-rich apple and lemon juices—what could be better?

Why It's Green:

Products in the Juice beauty Green Apple Collection contain local and organic ingredients, but don't contain things like parabens, pesticides, petroleum, artificial dyes, synthetic fragrances, or phthalates. The packaging is 100% recycled and all materials are printed with soy-based inks.

Where To Get It:

Other products in Juice's brand-new body collection (both shown above) include Green Apple Body Peel, $49, and Green Apple SPF 20 Antioxidant Body Moisturizer, $34.

An Apple a Day Helps Keep Wrinkles Away

My bath is filled with barely used bottles of eco-friendly body wash. I buy them, I try them, and I inevitably revert to my old standby Dove, which gets me clean and smells fresh but isn't green in any discernible way. So I end up feeling guilty...for wasting money, for tossing unused products I can't palm off on my sister, and for putting not-so-pure ingredients on (and possibly in) my body. Of course, any body wash is going to get me clean, but what I've been looking for is something that doesn't remind me of Autumn, my first roommate in college (think patchouli, lavender, chamomile). And this morning I found it when I showered with Juice Beauty's new Green Apple Mousse Cleanser—it lathered lightly and it left my skin softer, but most importantly it smelled deliciously light and citrus-y (it contains certified organic and antioxidant-rich apple and lemon juice). The downside (sigh) is that it's definitely the priciest body wash I've tried (and I've pretty much tried them all), but for now it's a small price to pay for feeling guilt-free—and smelling great.
