This deliciously thickening lemon sage shampoo and conditioner will plump up and shine up your hair. We've tried it, and talk about turning up the volume. Did we mention the styling wax will give you that fresh-out-of-the-shower, rock-star feeling? Oh, it will.
The Tea Tree line from Paul Mitchell is the first professional hair care line to go carbon neutral by partnering with American Forests to offset all of the carbon emissions from the brand's manufacturing and distribution. Purchase these products and you help fund American Forests' Global ReLeaf and Wildfire ReLeaf programs, which work to preserve forests in the U.S. and abroad. Though the products aren't organic, they're green in other good ways. The packaging, advertisements, promotions and product displays are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and use soy inks and local vendors when they can.

I've always been skeptical of hair care products that claim to do anything but simply wash your hair. I inherited this skepticism from my family. My thrifty grandfather washed his hair with a bar of soap and his hair always looked surprisingly good. And my grandmother, whose thin hair I inherited, avoided the hair-care products thing entirely by wearing a wig.
Now, I'm no bar-of-soap-on-the-head wig wearer. But I am a fine-haired skeptic who has considered getting extensions just to make my hair look a little thicker. (Though I'm far too lazy and repulsed to actually go get hair extensions.)
And then I met John Paul DeJoria of Paul Mitchell. Actually met him. And he had me at "Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner." It’s like my hair gained weight. Thicker and shinier, my hair now calls a bit of attention to itself. Someone in the office thought I'd just come from a salon one morning because I looked so friggin' hot, like a tamale.
With my hair-ego boosted and my skepticism assuaged, I feel like I've drunk the thickening-tea-tree-oil Kool-Aid. I can't get enough of this stuff. And thank goodness for the bar of tea tree-infused soap! It's like a cup of coffee for your skin, waking even the most pillow-embracing among us.—Jennifer Prediger
