Why It's Good:

Located in the heart of Singapore, this affordable hostel offers free guided walks to various nature reserves. It's a quick walk to the Marsiling MRT station (the subway), close to the Singapore Zoologolical Gardens, Night Safari and Mandai Orchid Garden.

Why It's Green:

The hostel is decorated with recycled materials—the signboard entrance is made from a discarded PVC door, an electric lamp has been converted from a kerosene one, and the computer table is an old sewing maching table.
