La Rosa Vintage
Item Posted: FEB 27, 2008
One step inside this vintage shop and you're instantly transported to another time. For me, it was the Mississippi Delta during early blues days. Harmonica in hand, a customer was picking out the perfect straw skimmer hat to wear out to a big-band show. Rows of hats from the 20s to the 50s, cases of pristine antique jewelry, racks of flapper dresses, and shelves of vintage luggage outfit this shop with old-world charm. The merchandise comes with a bit of a price tag, but for the perfect piece, it's worth the extra cash.
Vintage means that you are reusing items that have already been made, therefore, reducing carbon emissions and waste, and saving on raw materials and energy needed to produce new merchandise.
Note: La Rosa Vintage at 1711 Haight Street in San Francisco; call 415-668-3744 for more information.
