Tilapia Is Tops :

Unlike most farm-raised fish, which must eat other fish to grow, tilapia is an omnivore that can thrive on soy, corn, wheat, algae and plant waste. Plus, tilapia farms can be housed indoors where resulting wastewater and pollution are better controlled. Thirty thousand pounds of tilapia can be raised on just three acres annually — the same amount of space it takes to raise one 650-pound cow. — Slowfoodnation.org

Ekovaruhuset Black High Neck Dress

Why It's Good:

This stunning black organic crepe dress is both elegant and delicate. Topped off with a hemp/silk corset belt at the waist and gorgeous detailing at the nape of the neck, this number is a great excuse to walk in the other direction.

Why It's Green:

With an exception for a few buttons and zippers, Ekovaruhuset uses all organic materials; their fabrics are grown without pesticides and textiles are dyed in facilities that are environmentally responsible. A self-proclaimed godmother of the eco-nerds, owner Johanna Hofring incorporates her eye for style and her passion for "fair made", an ideology supporting companies that practice fair working conditions for employees.
