Chanel Sublimage Eye Essential Regenerating Eye Cream

Why It's Good:

Using anything Chanel makes us feel glamorous and this particular cream is no exception. It makes your eyes look brighter—and more importantly, younger—for far less than the cost of going under the knife.

Why It's Green:

The key ingredient is organic and sustainably harvested on Madagascar, where Chanel provides the local employees with education and health care.

Where To Get It:

Look Younger, Save Madagascar

If I'm going to spend $160 on a beauty product it had better instantly turn me into Angelina Jolie. Still, I couldn't resist sampling Sublimage Eye, the latest skincare offering from Chanel's Prácision Line. Hazel, the Chanel counterperson, smoothed a dab of the off-white cream on my hand and explained that it contained a polyketone, a special ingredient derived from an organic vanilla plant in Madagascar that would stimulate growth factors in my skin and lighten my sun-induced dark spots, hide my (very few) wrinkles, and make my eyes look brighter. Organic? Chanel? It's true, and instead of destroying the island's rainforest to get the ingredient, the company is teaching local employees there sustainable farming and providing them with health care. As for my looking younger, when I grabbed my coffee from the Starbucks barista later that day, she called me "miss" instead of her usual "m'am." I'm pretty sure she was looking at my right hand.
