Why It's Good:
No more sharing the cement with the same shoes as everybody else: The level of craftsmanship—in hand-sculpted wooden bottoms and molded leather soles—is what sets this limited-edition shoe line apart. And this are not the classic case of form over function, either: Each shoe is lined with an orthopedic insole to ensure that your feet are well-supported and comfortable.
Why It's Green:
Using vegetable-tanned leathers from Italy, Calleen Cordero eschews harmful toxins or dyes. The factory also recycles everything, even wood-carving leftovers.

Stylish Summer Sandals That Are Kind to Your Feet (and the Planet)
Authentic. Timeless. Yes, I'm talking about Calleen Cordero shoes, but I'm also talking about the Calleen Cordero production process (click here for the factory tour). But back to the shoes. My current CC fave is the Belinda Flat, pictured right, the perfect summer sandal with delicate ankle ties that can be matched with this front-tie tea dress by Ciel (indulge me as I play dress up for a bit). For a summer thong that offers more support, try the Morena DPR, pictured top left, which is lined with a sleek orthopedic foam midsole, yet doesn't look clumsy. We love it with a maxi dress; for a stand out night, try Gypsy 05's organic maxi long dress, as spotted on Lauren Conrad and Tori Spelling.
If you have had your fill of flats, the Hanalite Pewter, pictured bottom left, has a 3½" heel, but a 1" platform front (so your feet only feel like they're on 2½"). These shoes provide a solid counterpoint to a simple breezy dress like Theory's organic linen Tendriel dress, or, more affordably, Under the Canopy's Emma dress (it's on sale, too!).—Rebecca Brown
