Keep your tires properly inflated and your gas efficiency will increase by up to five percent. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, American drivers can save up to two billion gallons of gasoline a year and prevent up to 40 billion pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere if all tires are properly inflated. About 50% of cars on the road have under-inflated tires.
