Why It's Good:
Mask imperfections and even out your skin tone with these incredibly light and creamy cosmetics. They're sold at mass-market and drugstores so they cost less than their department store counterparts, but are just as high quality.
Why It's Green:
All of the products in the Physicians Formula Organic Wear collection are made with natural ingredients, some of which are Eco-Cert certified organic. Plus, the're free of common makeup chemicals like parabens, as well as synthetic colors and preservatives. And don't toss the packaging: Everything—from the outer cartons to the powder compacts made from paper instead of plastic—is recyclable.
Where To Get It:

How to Fake Flawless Skin
I've been trying to perfect the "natural," no-makeup makeup look for years now. What's still surprising, though, is how many products I actually use to make it look like I'm not wearing any. Of the five I apply every day (tinted moisturizer, concealer, mascara, lipgloss and cream blush—nude eyeshadow for the weekends), I've learned that the most important are those that even out my skin tone, as the natural look starts with perfect skin. This logic has helped me rationalize buying the same extremely pricey (and decidedly un-green) tinted moisturizer and concealer for several years now. But my bank account, as well as my conscious, will be pleased to learn that I've found two much cheaper drugstore staples, both made with 100 percent natural and organic ingredients, that don't require me to compromise on quality. The products won't be in stores until next week earliest, but I'm already hooked on the samples of the Tinted Moisturizer and Concealer Stick. They're made with certified organic, antioxidant-rich botanicals (like jojoba, shea butter, safflower oil, and avocado oil) that give both products a creamy consistency I thought only higher-end formulas were capable of. And though they offer light coverage, it lasts all day without ever looking flaky or dry. With these eco-friendly products in my cosmetics bag, I can finally say that my "natural" look comes from natural sources.—Megan O'Neill
