Hair Care That's a Hit in Hollywood

David Babaii for WildAid Shampoos and Conditioners

David Babaii for WildAid Shampoos and Conditioners

Hairstylist to the stars, David Babaii, teamed up with actress Kate Hudson (daughter of Goldie Hawn and the star of hit movies like Fool's Gold and Almost Famous) to create and promote professional-quality hair care products made with botanical ingredients. The shampoos are gentle yet thoroughly cleansing (plus they lather up nicely), while the conditioners have an amazing part-powder, part-coconut scent and deliver moisture without weighing hair down.

The entire David Babaii for WildAid line of products, which includes styling aids, is vegan and cruelty-free and a portion of all proceeds is donated to WildAid, a wildlife conservation organization that's committed to raising the awareness of and saving endangered animals. Not only do the products protect the world's wildlife, they also protect your health and the Earth's, as they're made without parabens, sulfates or petrochemicals. The post-consumer recycled plastic bottles are also recyclable.

I've been hiding a major eco and beauty sin for years now: I wash my hair every single solitary day. I'm so ashamed! Not only am I wasting water by washing what's really not that dirty (because how filthy can my locks really get from sitting around the office all day?), but according to my hairstylist, I'm also wrecking the health of my strands by stripping them of their natural oils. While I have plans to install a low-flow showerhead to lessen my guilt about wasting water, I don't think I’ll ever let go of my shampoo addiction. Because I suds up every day, I tend to switch shampoos and conditioners regularly (to prevent an overload of one particular product), which makes me somewhat of a connoisseur of conditioners, a specialist in shampoos. My latest love affair is with the David Babaii for WildAid shampoos and conditioners. I can't get enough of the subtle, powdery scent of the Amplifying Shampoo and Conditioner, which really does add body and volume to my limp, fine locks. And because they're made with natural ingredients and without drying chemicals, they're definitely inflicting less damage on my strands—because if I'm going to stick to my daily wash routine, at least I can do it in a gentler fashion.—Megan O'Neill

Note: David Babaii for WildAid products will be available online starting in May. To purchase them directly (the shampoos are $17 and the conditioners are $18), click here.
