Alba Organics
Alba Botanica SUN Aloe Vanilla Mineral Sunscreen
Why It's Good:
Keeps your skin protected from the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays, which cause wrinkling and burns, and which could lead to skin cancer. It smells yummy not sunscreen-y.
Why It's Green:
The active ingredient is titanium dioxide, a physical sunscreen, so it sits on the surface of your skin rather than being absorbed like a chemical sunscreen. It's packed with skin-soothing ingredients such as organic green tea and organic aloe, and it's free of parabens, which some scientists have linked to breast cancer.

Save Your Skin This Summer
Let the sunshine in! It boosts your mood and it's a great source of vitamin D, which we all need to make our bones strong and healthy. In fact, to get your daily dose, experts recommend you expose yourself to those golden rays for 10 to 15 minutes every day sans sunscreen. But they're not suggesting you sizzle in the sun or even go out during prime "tanning" hours (that's 10 to 2 for all you novices), especially in summer—a stroll down the street at 9 a.m. is all it takes. The rest of the time, if you want to avoid wrinkles, age spots, sunburn, and possibly even skin cancer (and who doesn't?), slather yourself in sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Our favorite is Alba Botanica's new Mineral Sunscreen—it does everything a sunscreen should do, but it smells great and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy.
