Greener Dish Cleaning:

Many dishwashing liquids are non-biodegradable and contain phosphates that harm our freshwater sources. To clean pans without a toxic detergent, fill with cold water, a lot of salt and a slice of onion. Let pan set overnight, then bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Once cool, the burnt food will come right off.

Why It's Good:

Look like you just stepped down from Mount Olympus in this lemon tunic from celeb fave (Scarlett, Eva and Uma are among fans of the line) Viridis Luxe. A ribbon belt and generous pleats at the neckline enhance this fluid shift, and the lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric means you'll stay as cool and composed as the Venus de Milo. Add gladiator sandals and a gold cuff for full-on Greek chic.

Why It's Green:

Made of a 70% bamboo/30% organic cotton blend. Bamboo, a hardy, fast-growing plant, requires little pesticides or water and is a rapidly renewable resource. Viridis Luxe uses only AZO-free dyes and ensures that no dioxins were created during the dye process. Strict clean-water requirements are also used in manufacturing processes.
