Scent of Santa Fe shampoo

Why It's Good:

This deep green daily shampoo has an earthy pine forest scent and combines African shea butter with plants and herbs such as piñon, juniper berry, and sage. Color-treated brunette hair in particular will see a boost of shine and enhanced color.

Why It's Green:

Another popular salon brand, Philip B. products are packed with plant extracts and contain no animal-derived ingredients. Products are tested on Philip and his friends and clients, not animals. We love how green this product is and wish it would go one step greener, finding an eco-alternative to or removing the cocamide DEA, which has been linked to health concerns such as cancer; and the sodium laureth sulfate, a harsh cleansing agent, although Philip's website does address the latter, click here for more information.
