See Ya CFLs:

Recycle used CFLs at your local Home Depot, IKEA or check Earth911.org for drop-off locations in your zip code. If your state permits you to put used or broken CFLs in the garbage, seal the bulb in two plastic bags and put it in the outside trash. Don't incinerate, as CFLs contain a small amount of toxic mercury, an average of about 5 milligrams, which would get released into the air.

3715 Vintage Sunglasses

Why It's Good:

So retro, so singular are these shades, we want to embed our prescription lenses in them and wear them every day.

Why It's Green:

Instead of buying new sunglasses, consider buying a vintage pair. You'll help the ecosystem by creating a market for products that could've filled a landfill, which, in turn, lessens the need for new goods to be produced by carbon-emitting machines.
