See Ya CFLs:

Recycle used CFLs at your local Home Depot, IKEA or check Earth911.org for drop-off locations in your zip code. If your state permits you to put used or broken CFLs in the garbage, seal the bulb in two plastic bags and put it in the outside trash. Don't incinerate, as CFLs contain a small amount of toxic mercury, an average of about 5 milligrams, which would get released into the air.

Scarf

Why It's Good:

Loosely draped, vividly colored neck scarves are this season's preferred route to the boho-chic look, but even with scads already lining our closets, we'll gladly make room for this striped number by Organic Giraffe — a perfect choice for when we want to look pretty, yet hippie, in pink.

Why It's Green:

This scarf is made from organic cotton, a pesticide-free fiber that's growing in demand. In 2007, approximately 7,473 acres of certified organic cotton — over 1,500 more acres than 2006 — was planted in the U.S.
