Marian Raisins
Youngna Park

Why They're Good:

The raisins are made from Thompson grapes, a small seedless variety that are grown on 60- to 70-year-old vines and then handpicked and laid on paper trays to dry.

Why They're Green:

Marian Farms produces the only certified-biodynamic raisins in North America. Biodynamic agriculture is a method of organic farming that emphasizes the interrelationship of soil, plants and animals and regards each individual farm as a unique ecosystem. It also links subtle changes in the cosmos, according to the day and seasons of the year, to the health and vigor of a farm's soil and crops.

Where To Get Them:

www.marianfarmsbiodynamic.com | $1-$6

1.5-ounce boxes cost a dollar apiece; 12-ounce bags cost $6 each. To place your order, call the farm at (559) 276-6185.
