Greener Dish Cleaning:

Many dishwashing liquids are non-biodegradable and contain phosphates that harm our freshwater sources. To clean pans without a toxic detergent, fill with cold water, a lot of salt and a slice of onion. Let pan set overnight, then bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Once cool, the burnt food will come right off.

Woodland Fairy

Our little woodland fairy is all about flowers, feathers and fun. Start with a skirt, a white long-sleeve one-piece and colored tights. Cut out a pair of wings from white Kunin Rainbow Plush Felt made from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles (search online for free templates or draw your own). Next, cut out three colored felt flowers and six green felt leaves. Layer two leaves under each flower, add a feather and glue altogether.

Use a non-toxic fabric glue to adhere two flower sets to the wings and one flower set to a long piece of ribbon. Tie the ribbon around your baby's waist as a sash. For her hair, stick small paper flowers to another piece of ribbon and tie around her head. Every fairy needs a magic wand! We love the natural wood star wand from Tree Hollow Toys.
