Do the Locomotion:

Next time you travel, take the train. Trains consume less energy and produce less pollution per passenger mile than driving, boating, cruising or flying. Plus you get to relax (or write that novel you've been thinking about) as the world slides by your window.

HP Deskjet D2545 Printer

Why It's Good:

We're not the biggest tech-heads around but overall, it seems to work just as well as any printer deskjet or laser, we've ever had. It prints up to 26 pages and minute and is also smaller than most perfect for home office use where space is limited. As an added bonus, it retails for $44.99!

Why It's Green:

Eighty-three percent of the printer's total plastic weight is made up of recycled, un-bleached plastic, and it uses ink cartridges made from recycled plastic resins. It's small scale also reduces its overall environmental impact and is energy-star rated. HP ink cartridges come with a pre-paid envelope for sending in your old cartridges for recycling. Since we go thru a ton of those, we are loyal to HP printers and ink as a rule. Question: When are they going to invent ink cartridges that last as long as the equivalent of a CFL bulb to an incandescent?
