Don’t Reach for the Roll:

Next time you have a messy spill don't grab the paper towels. Every day Americans send 3,000 tons of paper towels to landfills. You can save over $100 a year by switching to dishcloths or tea towels.

Gwen Stefani got the dream bridal look right at her 2002 London nuptials. She stuck to her signature red lipstick and blonde hair with height, but softened the look with glowing skin and shimmering eyes. Try this for your own classic, chic wedding.

GWEN'S HAIR

1. Pump Up the Volume

Start with wet hair and work in a mousse like PHYTO PRO Intense Volume Mousse with Myrrh Extract, $20 — the vegetable resin coats hair for shine and hold. Blow dry your hair using a round brush for smoothness and volume. Gather a front section of hair (your bangs, if you have them) to create the swooping height like Gwen has. Use your blow dryer and round brush to sculpt the hair upward.

2. Tease and Twist

Use a comb to tease for more height in front. Once satisfied with height, round the front section of hair backward, twist the end near the crown of your head and secure it with bobby pins. Use a strong hair spray like MOP C-System Firm Finish Strong Hold Hairspray, $20, to keep updo in place with certified organic extracts of orange, mango and grapefruit. Pull the rest of hair into a smooth low ponytail and secure with an elastic.

GWEN'S MAKEUP

1. Get Glowing Luminous Skin

Use your favorite concealer and foundation to create a clean slate. For subtle shimmer, dab a mineral-infused highlighter like Glo Minerals gloHighlighter, $16, on cheekbones and brow bones.

2. Create a Shimmering Eye

Use a frosty pink palette of mineral shadows like DuWop Rose Eyes, $32. Tarte's makeup artist Jasen Kaplan says to start with a light shimmer shadow over the entire eyelid. Then use a darker hue in the crease, blending together to eliminate any lines. Try the soft pink shimmer and soft rosy bronze from this palette. Add drama along your top lash with black eyeliner like Tarte Emphaseyes High Definition Eyeliner, $18, slightly winging outward at the outside edge. Use the deep plum-brown cream liner from the palette along the bottom lash line.

3. Bat Your Lashes

To finish, curl lashes and brush on a coat of black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. Try Miessence Pure Black Mascara, $20.50.

4. Make Your Smile Camera-Ready

The best way to show off those pearly whites and bold red lips in every photo is with Tarte Enbrightenmint Britesmile Whitener & Tarte Lip Gloss in Radiant Red, $26. Whiten teeth and moisturize lips in seconds with this double-ended tool that's filled with natural antioxidants and vitamins.
