Diane Kruger
Here's a new kind of going-out summer look: Not too casual, not too fussy, really smart.

National Treasure-seeker Diane Kruger looked like a fresh discovery in this smart, casual summer look at Longchamp's 60th anniversary celebration in New York. A straw fedora for jauntiness counterbalances the minimal exposure (then again, who wouldn't want to show off such abs) from a short button-down vest and sharp, high-waisted dark trousers.
Everyone loves the fedora hat, from hipsters to classic beauties (like Ms. Kruger). Keep hair down for day, or pull back in a smooth, loose ponytail for evening.
With skinny jeans, a vest looks best over a loose-fitted top, and with sailor pants like Diane, a body-conscious top is best. This one also comes in a neutral tone like Diane's.
Slimming high-rise trousers offset fabulous abs, yet can fit just about any body type (as well as go with longer tops).
You can never go too bright – as long as the rest of your outfit is neutral. Diane's simple and stylish pop of color drew attention like shutterbugs to a flame.
