How would you describe your customer?
I don't know really. They come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, sexual orientations, ages, nationalities, and skin colors.... Strangely, we have a foot in many camps. In a sense, everyone is invited and those who have turned up so far are a very diverse crowd.
What celebrities use your skincare line?
We have many celebrity users from fashion models, to film stars, to chefs, musicians etc. I feel a bit hesitant to name names, though.
Do you find it ironic that some beauty companies claim to beautify their customer and then use harmful ingredients?
There has always been a contradiction in beauty. Consumers themselves are contradictions: Some will only use "organic skincare" and be on the most fastidious diet while injecting their faces with botulism toxin (botox) or having acid peels. Human nature seems often forgo the long term (health) for the short term (beauty). We strive to resolve the paradox.
Do you believe in that old axiom: cleanse, tone, moisturize? If not, why not?
Not really. Cleanse and moisturize, certainly, but two never sounds as rhetorically interesting as three, nor as much of a program or selling tool. The toning part makes it sound more persuasive, but is not necessary, in our humble opinion.
If you could only have one beauty product for your skin, what would it be?
Omega 3 Facial Overnight Lipid Renewal Serum.
Okay, now you're allowed two more on a desert island....
Glycolactic Skn Renewal Peel Mask and the Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Revitalising Repair Cream.
Why do some women get away with just using water and others need layers of disciplined regimen and medical intervention to have great skin?
