Why It's Good:

We love cooking, but use what the pros say is for posers and prepare meals with non-stick pans (sorry but we go with the easy clean-up factor over coolness). Why It's Green:

Typical non-stick pans are coated with Teflon, which gives off potentially harmful fumes at medium and high temperatures. But this set uses ceramic-based non-stick technology – it's petroleum-, PTFE- and PFOA-free. In manufacturing, the coating is applied at a temperature that's one-half of typical non-sticks making their production less energy consumptive and less heat is needed than with other aluminum pans to achieve desired cooking temperature. The handles are made of 70% recycled stainless steel and are built to last a lifetime, keeping them out of a landfill longer. Greenware cookware is packaged using 100% recycled materials that are printed with 100% biodegradable soy inks.
