Best Powder Detergent

Biokleen Premium Plus Stain Lifting Enzyme Powder  is free of phosphates as well as chemical surfactants ("surface active agents" that make fabrics more susceptible to water so cleaning agents can penetrate more easily to remove dirt and stains). Many surfactants may be hormone disruptors and some are suspected to be carcinogenic and able to penetrate skin. This product removes stains with natural enzymes and color safe oxygenated bleach (not chlorine). Our testers praised this powerful powder's refreshing citrus scent and noted how well it worked (most didn't see a difference from traditional, chemical-laden detergent). The concentrated formula comes in a small, 5-pound box that can clean a whopping 54 loads of laundry (108 if you have an HE machine).
